Justin Richter

Justin Richter begins his first season as assistant coach for the Buffs.  Richter’s duties will be coaching the wide receivers in 2015. 
 
He came to WT from University of New Mexico where he was a graduate assistant.  There, he worked with the defensive backs and was responsible for all date input of opponent offensive film, assisted with opponent offensive breakdown each week, compiled weekly scouting reports and led the scout team.
 
Prior to New Mexico, Richter was a graduate assistant at Angelo State University where he coached the safeties.  He helped ASU finish third in the Lone Star Conference in scoring defense in 2011 and first in total defense in 2012.  He coached Stick Johnson who earned honorable mention all-America honors and helped lead the defense to allow just 108 yards per game rushing which was 17th nationally in 2011.  In 2012, the defense was second in the LSC in pass defense and 29th nationally.
 
Richter graduated from University of Saint Mary in Kansas in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management.  There, he lettered two years at wide receiver.  He also played two years at New Mexico Military Institute where he was a receiver in a triple option offense.
