Garrett Meyer enters his fourth season on the sidelines for the Buffaloes, being promoted to assistant coach in the spring of 2026 working with the WT tight ends. Meyer began his time at West Texas A&M as a graduate assistant assistaing with the offensive line.
Meyer played collegiately at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where he saw time in 32 games for the Lopers from 2018-2022.
The Omaha, Nebraska product carried the ball 57 times for 330 yards and a pair of touchdowns to average 5.8 yards per carry and 10.3 yards per game. Meyer also excelled in the classroom at UNK as a multiple-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll selection.
