The Perryton, Texas, native Brett Watson returns to WT for his fourth season overall and first since 2011.  He returns to helm the defensive line and is the recruiting coordinator for 2013.  

A former defensive lineman for the Buffs, Watson had a promising career halted due to a series of injuries.  From 2006-07, Watson registered 21 tackles, including 6.5 coming behind the line of scrimmage.  He also registered 5.5 sacks over his two seasons of action.

A 2005 graduate of Perryton High School, Watson was a 2004 honorable mention all-state selection.  He helped guide the Rangers to a pair of District 1-3A titles.

Watson graduated from WT in 2009 with his bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science.  He then received his master’s degree from WT in 2010.
