Austin Gillmore

Gillmore returns to the Texas Panhandle after spending time at Texas A&M-Kingsville, Colorado State and Adams State. The Bushland product is in charge of coaching the outside linebackers.

Prior to coming to Canyon, Gillmore was the tight ends/wide receiver coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville for two years where he coached All-LSC First Team player Anthony Autry and All-LSC Second Team player Torey Thomas. He was the special teams coordinator, defensive backs and receivers coach at West Texas High School in Stinnet during he2014-15 season. He spent the 2013 season as a linebackers coach at Adams State.

A former linebacker, fullback and tight end for the Division I Colorado State Rams, he played alongside multiple NFL draft players, including his brother Crockett Gillmore, Weston Richburg, Ty Sambrailo and Garrett Grayson.

He graduated from Colorado State in 2013 with a degree in liberal arts and a minor in history while earning a master’s degree from Texas A&M-Kingsville.
