Austin Ashcraft

Austin Ashcraft enters his second season at WT in 2017 as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line.
    
Prior to WT, Ashcraft was the assistant offensive line coach at his alma mater, Humboldt State University.  Ashcraft graduated from HSU with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 2016.  He served as a student assistant coach for the Lumberjacks for four seasons where he worked with the offensive line and tight ends in his tenure.
  
Ashcraft assisted in coaching the three time GNAC offensive lineman of the year, Alex Cappa.  He also was a part of a staff that had one of the nation’s most explosive offensive units, which included sophomore running back Ja’Quan Gardner, the Harlon Hill Trophy runner-up, AFCA All-American and the nation’s leading rusher. The Lumberjacks averaged 41.4 points per game and scored 50 or more points in five games during the 2015 season which included a conference championship.
    
The Chino Hills, Calif., native, currently resides in Canyon and is pursuing a master's of education in instructional design and technology at West Texas A&M.
