Registered a standout prep career at nearby Caprock High School (Texas) where he played defensive line and linebacker for the Longhorns under head coach and WT alumni Dan Sherwood... Registered 70 total tackles with five sacks and an interception during his senior season... Excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society...
