2019-20 LSC All-Athletic Performance Team

2019: Played in 10 games as a senior recording 55 tackles (30 solo, 25 assisted), two tackles for loss, two interceptions, one forced fumble and six pass breakups. Recorded a season-high 16 tackles, including 11 solo tackles, in WT’s victory over Central Washington. His interception in the fourth quarter at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 9 sealed the comeback victory for the Buffs. 

2018: Redshirt.

2017: Played and started in nine games. Recorded 53 tackles and 39 solo stops. His 53 tackles ranked sixth on the team, while the 39 solo stops was fourth-most. Had two interceptions for 47 yards and three pass breakups, along with two fumble recoveries for 10 yards and one blocked kick. Recorded 11 tackles and seven solo stops at Tarleton State (9/23), while recording two interceptions and one fumble return against Adams State (10/14). Blocked a kick against Eastern New Mexico (9/30). Ranked second in the LSC and 42nd nationally in fumbles recovered with two.

2016: Played in nine games with four starts . Earned honorable mention all-conference honors. Had 52 tackles which was good for fourth on the team. He tallied 1.5 tackles for loss for five yards, one forced fumble at Oklahoma Panhandle State (10/15), one quarterback hurry, three pass breakups and four passes defended. He had his first career interception in the season finale at Western New Mexico.

2015: Had an outstanding freshman year for the Buffs playing in all 10 games with two starts. Recorded 20 tackles with seven solo stops. Had one fumble return against Eastern New Mexico and three tackles for loss for nine yards. Tallied a career-best 13 total tackles against Eastern New Mexico and three tackles for loss. Earned a spot on the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Named LSC Defensive Player of the Week once last season.

Forney High School: Lead tackler for head coach Kevin Rush.  Named first team all-district.  Special Teams Player of the Year.  Earned academic all-district honors and was a team captain.  Named a Trinity Valley Leader of Tomorrow.  Also earned second team special teams accolades.  Also competed in track, basketball and baseball.  Played multiple positions on both sides of the ball.

Personal: Born May 15, 1997.  Parents are Danny and Kerri Slatinsky.  Plans on majoring in sports and exersise science at WT.
