HIGH SCHOOL: Burns graduated from Mansfield Summit HS (Texas) in 2012, playing in the backfield for the Jaguars under head coach Travis Pride. While at Summit, Burns picked up District MVP honors as well as being named an Honorable Mention All-State selection. He also lettered in track & field for three years for the Jaguars.

MAJOR: Burns is majoring in Business at West Texas A&M.
