2019 First Team All-Lone Star Conference (DS)
 
2019: Appeared in 11 games as a senior where he earned First Team All-Lone Star Conference as a long snapper. He finished the season with two receptions for six yards and a touchdown and. Four tackles (1 solo, 3 assisted). Recorded his first career touchdown against Tarleton on Sept. 21. 

2018: Made a significant impact on special teams and tight end as a junior where he appeared in eight games after recovering from an injury in fall camp. Finished the season with one catch for 27 yards while blocking for 2^nd Team All-LSC running back Duke Carter IV. Served as the long snapper on special teams where he worked with All-American John Cummings while also recording a tackle against Texas A&M-Kingsville in the final game at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium.

2017: Handled holding duties for the Buffs in all 11 games this season. Recorded three tackles and two solo stops.

2016: Played in the last four games of the season as a freshman mainly on special teams. Recorded one assisted tackle at Western New Mexico in the season finale (11/12).

High School: Graduated from Seguin High School in 2016 where he played tight end and defensive end under head coach Anthony Boykin. He was named second team all-district and all-area as a senior. He also earned academic all-state and all-district honors.

Personal: Born on July 1, 1997. Son of Dwayne and Robin Gerlich. Has one sibling: Brig. Plans on majoring in exercise physiology at West Texas A&M.
