High School: Graduated from Austin High School in 2016 where he played quarterback for head coach Mike Rosenthal. He passed for over 7,000 yards and 72 total touchdowns during his career. During his senior season he led the Maroon to a 7-4 record while earning first team all-district accolades. He was named second team all-district as a junior. Also lettered in basketball and baseball.

Personal: Born on August 29, 1997. Son of Dan and Elizabeth Kalbacher. Has two siblings: Caye and Colby. Plans on majoring in business at West Texas A&M.
