Biography

Career: Dumars finished his career in 2015 ranking high in several career school record lists...Fourth-highest scorer in school history with 1,230 points...Sixth in career FG attempts (968)...Third in career 3FG's made (183)...Second in career 3FG's attempted (529)...Tied for fourth in career games played (112)...Shot .407 from the floor, .346 from beyond the arc, and .730 from the free-throw line while averaging a career 11.0 ppg...Finished career with 283 rebounds, 207 assists, and 78 steals. 

2014-15: Dumars capped off an incredible four-year campaign with the Buffs by passing WT and NBA great Maurice Cheeks for fourth on the school's career scoring list after tallying 25 points in his final game...One of only two players to start all 29 games...Second on the team in scoring with 15.5 ppg...Led team in FT's made (140) and FT's attempted (191), ranking sixth and eight, respectively, on the school's single season record boards...Went 135-of-329 from the floor (.410) and 39-of-126 (.310) from the perimeter...Finished season with 97 boards, 59 assists, and 28 steals...Scored a career-high 27 points on 11/18/14 at Wayland Baptist...Led team in scoring nine times.

2013-14: In his junior season with the Buffs, Dumars played in all 27 contests and received the starting nod in 21. He led the team in three-point field goals made, going 53-of-140 to shoot .379 from deep, as well as free-throw percentage (.776). Dumars also averaged 11 points per game, second-most on the team, as well as 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. His best statistical game came on Nov. 19 at Oklahoma Panhandle State where he recorded 23 points, going 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-8 from behind the arc to lead the Buffs to a 65-58 win. Dumars led the Buffs in scoring five times during the season.

2012-13: Dumars continued to impress for the Buffs during his sophomore season in 2012-13, seeing time in all 28 games with 17 starts. The Garland product averaged 31.2 minutes per contest  while scoring 8.8 points and grabbing 2.4 rebounds per contest. Dumars led the Buffs behind the arc, going 45-of-138 to shoot .326 from deep while also dishing out 2.2 assists per game. The sophomore guard registered his best statistical game on February 9th as he went 3-of-5 from deep to score 14 points in 23 minutes of action in Lawton, Oklahoma in a 73-62 loss to Cameron.

2011-12: Dumars had a breakout true freshman season for the Buffs in 2011-12, seeing time in 28 contests with 17 starts. Dumars averaged 8.5 points to go along with 1.9 boards per game, the strong shooting freshman went 46-of-125 from behind the arc to shoot .368 from deep. The Garland product was named the Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year for his efforts on the hardwood.

High School: Dumars graduated from Garland Lakeview Centennial HS (Texas) in 2011 and played guard for the Patriots under head coach Tony Mauldin. He led the team to the Texas 5A State Finals as a senior and a junior, averaging 13 points a game as a senior. Dumars was a four year starter for the Patriots and also excelled in the classroom as a Texas Scholar.

Major: Dumars is a Journalism/Broadcasting major at West Texas A&M.
