Jaclyn Wood was named the Senior Woman Administrator for West Texas A&M in September of 2024.
Wood is now in her eighth year at WT after returning to Canyon in the summer of 2018. Wood works with the baseball and volleyball programs as an Assistant Athletic Trainer while assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Sports Medicine Department. She also serves as the liaison for medical billing and insurance for the department. In addition to her athletic training work at WT, Wood has covered a variety of outreach sports including high school football and club hockey.
Wood spent nine years at Lone Star Conference member Angelo State where she worked with softball, women's soccer and volleyball during her time in San Angelo. While at Angelo State, Wood also taught in the Kinesiology department before transitioning to the athletics department full time. The Amarillo native grew up going to WT sporting events as a kid, especially volleyball and basketball in "The Box." Wood earned her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from West Texas A&M in 2007 and finished her Master's Degree in Sports & Exercise Science in 2009.

Wood is certified through the Board of Certification and licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Wood is also certified in the M1 Graston Technique as well as Dry Needling 1. She is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Texas State Athletic Trainers Association.
