2012: Played in 42 games with 35 starts while hitting .305...Had 39 hits with 14 doubles which tied for third-most on the team...Led the team with eight home runs and had 34 RBIs, while was fourth-best on the team...Slugged .405 for the year...Had a .992 fielding percentage with 230 put outs and six assists in 238 chances.

New Mexico Junior College:  Wood attended New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, NM where he played for coach Josh Simpson.  Wood and the Thunderbirds finished third in the region. He graduated with an Associate of Arts degree. 
 
Clovis High School:  Wood set the record at his high school for RBI's at forty-six.  He was also a first team all-district pick two of his four years.
 
Personal Information:  Wood is the son of Michael Wood and Linda Durant.  He has six siblings; Kevin Wood, Heather Hutchinson, Adam Wood, Emily Wood, Justin Howalt, and Jenna Nolson...Majoring in agriculture business and economics.
