At Connors State:
Koon comes to Canyon following two seasons at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. The talented catcher saw time in 62 games over the last two seasons for the Cowboys, registering 78 hits in his 226 at-bats for a batting average of .345 to go along with 22 doubles, one triple and two homeruns to drive in 48 RBI for a slugging percentage of .478. Behind the plate, Koon registered 367 putouts and 28 assists with just one error for a fielding clip of .997 to pick up All-Region accolades.
 
At Yukon High School:
The Yukon, Oklahoma native was an All-Conference selection behind the plate for the Millers under head coach Kevin James at Yukon High School. Koon also excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society while finishing his prep career with a 4.3 GPA.

Personal:
Born October 5, 2000. Nolan is the son of Jason and Glennette Koon and he has one sister, Emily. He is planning to major in Pre-Veterinary Medicine at West Texas A&M.
