2020:
Barillas saw time in one contest on the mound for the Buffaloes during his first season in Maroon & White, allowing just one hit with a walk for an ERA of 0.00.

At New Mexico Junior College:
Barillas comes to Canyon following two standout seasons at New Mexico Junior College. Barillas made 15 appearances (8-2) during his sophomore campaign for the Thunderbirds, registering a 4.04 ERA with 78 strikeouts in his 62.1 innings of work as he has allowed 40 runs (28 earned) on 64 hits while averaging 11.26 strikeouts per contest. Barillas earned All-Conference accolades as NMJC claimed the NJCAA Region V Championship.

At High School of Telecommunications, Arts & Tech:
Barillas graduated from the High School of Telecommunications, Arts & Tech in Brooklyn, New York where he played all over the field for the Yellow Jackets under head coach Rob Calise. He was named the PSAL Most Valuable Player while earning NYC Mayor's Cup MVP honors on the diamond. Barillas also excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society.

Born March 17, 1998. Son of Ronald and Olimpia Barillas and he has one brother, Ronald Jr. Barillas is majoring in Criminal Justice at West Texas A&M.
