Amarillo High School: Earned First-team All-District as a pitcher and third baseman for the Sandstorm… Also, Downs was the recipient of the Cy Young award, given to the best pitcher on the team.

Personal: Born on Oct. 8, 1996… Parents are Judith, Dudley McNeill and late Ricky Downs… Has three siblings… Plans on majoring in sports and exercise science at WT.
