Biography

2022:
Ferrel saw time in 10 games with one start in the infield for the Buffaloes during the 2022 campaign. The Memphis, Texas native hit .333 on the season with four hits to drive in a pair of RBI for a slugging percentage of .333 to go along with one walk and two hit-by-pitch for an on-base clip of .467. Defensively he registered five putouts and five assists with a perfect fielding percentage.

2021:
Ferrel saw time in 10 games for the Buffaloes during the 2021 campaign. He hit .250 with one hit and three runs scored in his four at-bats to go along with three walks for an on-base percentage of .571. Defensively he registered five assists at shortstop.

2020:
Ferrel saw time in seven contests off of the bench for the Buffaloes during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. The Memphis product registered three at-bats while scoring three runs to go along with a putout and an assist defensively at shortstop for a perfect fielding percentage.

2019:
Ferrel did not see time on the diamond for the Buffs in 2019.

Memphis High School:
Played all over the field for head coach David Jurado and the Cyclones at Memphis High School. Helped lead his team to a district runner-up finish as a senior. He earned All-District and Newcomer of the Year honors in 2014. Hit .523 as a senior and holds the single season (26) and career (50) stolen base record at MHS. Played in the GWTBCA All-Star Game.

Born September 29, 1998. Parents are John Mark and Chrysta Ferrel and he has one sibling. Majoring in Business at West Texas A&M.
