First Team All-District selection behind the plate for the Panthers under head coach Kris Cavazos at Navarro High School. Named the District Most Valuable Player as a senior, hitting .324 with two homeruns. Also lettered in basketball at NHS.

Born January 15, 2004. Son of Jay and Kristi Monkerud and he has one brother, Jaxen. Majoring in Education at West Texas A&M.
