2020:
Martinez became a go-to bat for the Buffs during the 2020 campaign as the Aurora, Colorado native saw time in 16 games with 14 starts. He hit .326 on the season with five doubles, a triple and four homeruns to drive in 10 RBI with 34 total bases for a slugging percentage of .739. Martinez drew two walks and was hit four times for an on-base clip of .404 to go along with 17 putouts and seven assists defensively for a fielding percentage of .982.

2019:
Martinez saw time in 21 games with 15 starts for the Buffaloes during his junior campaign in 2019. The Aurora, Colorado product hit .313 with two doubles, one triple and three homeruns to drive in 14 RBI with 28 total bases for a slugging percentage of .583 to go along with eight walks for an on-base clip of .469. Martinez registered eight putouts and 12 assists at third base for a fielding percentage of .769.

At Lamar Community College:
Martinez came to Canyon following one season at Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado where he played in the middle infield for the Lopes under head coach Scott Crampton. He hit .361 for the Lopes this past season with 14 doubles and 12 homeruns to drive in 49 RBI with 111 total bases for a slugging percentage of .657.
 
At San Jacinto College:
The Aurora, Colorado native spent his freshman season at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas where he saw time in 13 contests, helping the team to a 48-17 overall record and an appearance in the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.

At Smoky Hill High School:
Martinez registered a standout prep career at Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado where he played shortstop for the Buffs under head coach Anthony Gutierrez. He was a First Team All-Conference selection for the Buffs during his senior campaign.

Personal:
Born December 27, 1996. Parents are Lloyd and Susan Martinez and he has one brother, Michael. Majoring in Management at West Texas A&M.
