2022:
Jenkins redshirted for the Buffs during the 2022 campaign.

At Ennis High School:
Jenkins came to Canyon following a standout prep career at Ennis High School where he played first base for the Lions under head coach Kellen Monreal. He was named the District 14-5A Offensive Most Valuable Player during his senior campaign while also lettering in football. He also excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal:
Born October 10, 2002. Clayton is the son of Jerl and Cindy Jenkins and he has one sister, Jordan. He is majoring in Business at West Texas A&M.
