Biography

2023:
The Canyon native saw limited time on the diamond for the Buffaloes during the 2023 season, seeing time in three games. Artho registered four at-bats during his sophomore campaign while registering one putout at first base for a perfect fielding percentage. 

2022:
Artho saw time in 18 games with seven starts for the Buffs during his redshirt freshman campaign in 2022. The Canyon product hit .212 on the season with seven hits including one double to drive in seven RBI for a slugging percentage of .242 to go along with seven walks and two hit-by-pitch for an on-base clip of .372. Defensively he registered 12 putouts and one assist for a perfect fielding percentage.

2021:
Artho redshirted for the Buffs during the 2021 season.

At Canyon High School:
Artho comes to WT following a standout prep career at nearby Canyon High School where he became one of the top power hitters in the State of Texas for the Eagles under head coach John Doan. He was tabbed a Texas High School Baseball Preseason All-American heading into his pandemic-shortened senior campaign following a 2019 season that saw Artho hit .402 with 39 RBI and 10 homeruns which ranked second in all of Class 4A. He earned 1st Team All-District honors as a junior while also being named the CHS Offensive Player of the Year. Artho also excelled in the classroom as a three-time member of the National Honor Society.

Personal:
Born December 23, 2001. Son of Rex and Paige Artho and he has two siblings, Carson and Collins. Majoring in Business & Finance at West Texas A&M.
