Biography

2021:
Rodriguez was a go-to force out of the bullpen for the Buffaloes during the 2021 season, making 19 relief appearances with a record of 6-1 to go along with three saves. The right-hander tossed 33.0 innings of work, striking out 49 with an opposing batting average of .203.

2020:
Rodriguez saw time in four contests out of the bullpen for the Buffaloes during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. The Friona product tossed 3.0 innings over his four appearances, registering three strikeouts while only allowing two hits for an opposing batting average of .167.

2019:
The El Paso native was a bright-spot for the Buffaloes during his sophomore campaign in 2019, seeing time in three contests out of the bullpen as he tossed 3.1 innings while allowing no runs on just three hits with three walks and five strikeouts for an opposing batting average of .231.

2018:
Rodriguez redshirted for the Buffs in 2018.

At Friona High School:
Rodriguez came to Canyon following a stellar prep career at Friona High School where he played all over the field for the Chieftains under head coach Jesus Quiroz.

Born December 18, 1998. Parents are Graciela Grado and Joel Rodriguez and he has two siblings. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering at West Texas A&M.
