At Dodge City Community College:
Gonzales joins the Lady Buffs following two seasons at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kansas where she played in the outfield for the Conquistadors under head coach Howie Smith. She was an All-Region selection in the outfield at Dodge City as the Pampa native set new single-season program record with 53 stolen bases while holding the DCCC career marks for stolen bases (82), runs scored (111) and hits (137). She also excelled in the classroom, earning First Team NJCAA All-Academic honors while graduating with honors.

At Pampa High School:
Gonzalez registered a standout prep career at nearby Pampa High School where she pitched and played the outfield for the Harvesters under head coach Dottie Hawthorne. She was an All-State selection in the outfield at PHS with a run to the Texas Class 3A Regional Finals during her sophomore season. She also lettered in volleyball and track for the Harvesters, claiming District Championships in the 100m and 400m Relay. 

Personal:
Born March 17, 1998. She is the daughter of Ricardo and Patricia Gonzalez and she has four siblings: Monica, Laura, Mikaela and Karina. She is majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
