PARKING
Spectators are permitted to park in the Rebel Tennis Center lot.
Buses can park on Elmhurst Dr. or in the church parking lots adjacent to Austin Middle School. 
NO BUSES allowed to park in the Rebel Tennis Center lot or Austin Middle School lot.

COACHES MEETING
Sunday, April 19, 2026
Location – Austin Middle School Main Gym 
(enter from the south side of building – parking is available in the lot or on the street)
Time: 5:00 p.m. 

SCHEDULE
Draw sheets will be added at appropriate time.
*Schedule and match length subject to change from tournament director's discretion due to weather. Playbacks if needed will be one hour after Finals completed.
 
ENTRIES
The district director will certify entries to the regional tournament.
Entries are due by April 15, 2026 - Entries must be typed and certified by District Directors using the UIL Tennis Results Form. This should be done as soon as your district tournament is completed.

Fees are $50/athlete
 
SUBSTITUTIONS
Before the tournament has begun, a substitution may be made in a school tennis doubles or mixed doubles team but not in singles. A school may not substitute for a singles player, an entire doubles team or an entire mixed doubles team. The alternate single, doubles or mixed doubles must be used. If at all possible, call the regional director prior to Friday, April 17, regarding changes in doubles or mixed doubles teams. Other doubles or mixed doubles substitutes may be permitted before beginning the tournament by notifying the site director.  

Reminder: Substitutions may be made for illness, injury, academic ineligibility or if a student is penalized by the school for misconduct or violation of the code of conduct.
 
SEEDING

The regional tournament director will be using seeding and draw. 
We will seed 4 entries per draw. If you want to have your player or doubles team seeded, please bring the following information:  
  • Their win-loss record (wins over other players or teams at the tournament)
  • USTA ranking/Universal Tennis Rating (UTR)
  • Anything to help determine who should be seeded
  • Head Coaches will vote to determine the 4 seeds
** Four players/teams will be seeded in each event; an additional 2 players/teams will be placed in the draw by vote of the coaches. The remaining players will be drawn by lot and placed in the draw. District champions will be drawn and placed first, then runners-up will be drawn and placed.

STATE QUALIFIERS
The first, second, and third place contestants in the regional tournaments in all conferences qualify to enter the state tournament.

MATCHES
Matches are best of three sets, regular scoring, 12-point tiebreaker at 6-6 in all sets.
 
PENALTY POINT SYSTEM
USTA Penalty Point System is enforced.
 
TARDINESS & FORFEITS
Fifteen-minute default rule is in effect.
 
COACHING

- Coaches are allowed to coach between points and in breaks of play.
- Coaches may coach from on court but must be at or around the net post or bench area (specifically between the net post and half way down the service box). Only one coach may be on any one court at a time.
- Coaching is allowed if the coach is outside the court area as long as it is between points, in any breaks of play, and does not interfere with continuous play on any court.
- Only the school tennis coach employed by that school may coach and only in a manner which does not interfere with the play adjoining courts.
- College style coaching will be allowed. Coaches may talk to the players between points, but may NOT disrupt or slow down play.

TENNIS BALLS
West Texas A&M University will supply match balls for the tournament. Wilson US Open will be used. Warm up balls are not provided.
