Southwestern Oklahoma State:Spent four seasons in Goodwell, Oklahoma where he started in a career-high 11 games as a junior after making a pair of starts as a sophomore. Appeared in three games in 2016 after redshirting in 2015. 
 
Stroud High School:Graduated in 2015 where he was named the District Defensive Lineman of the Year while also earning a nomination for the All-State team. Was part of three district championship teams.
 
Personal:Son of Brandon and Tawna Turner-Close.
