Biography
2020 (Played in Spring of 2021): Started in all 10 games for the Lady Buffs logging 669 minutes. In her final collegiate season, she finished scored four goals while dishing out a team-high five assists for a total of 13 points on 15 shots, seven of those on-target. She also had wo game-winners including her second goal of the game in WT’s 4-3 overtime victory over Texas A&M-Commerce. Provided an assist in three straight games in wins over Ut Tyler, Midwestern State and Oklahoma Christian.
2019: Appeared in 18 games including 11 starts for the Lady Buffs registering 870 minutes. She finished the season with two assists and 10 shots. She recorded her first assist of the season in a 4-1 victory over Angelo State while adding an assist in a 10-0 victory over Oklahoma Christian.
2018: Appeared in all 22 games including 18 starts for the Lady Buffs as a sophomore where she scored four goals and an assist for five points. She put 10 of her 18 shots on frame for a shots on-goal percentage of .556. Was credited with the game-winner in WT’s 3-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist on Sept. 11 at The Pitch. Scored her second goal of the season against Texas Woman’s (Sept. 21) followed by goals against UT Permian Basin (Oct. 5) and MSU Texas (Oct. 14). Played a season-high 95 minutes in WT’s 0-0 draw against Dallas Baptist in the regional final where the Lady Buffs won 5-4 on penalty kicks for their first regional title since 2009.
2017: Played in 23 games with ten starts as a freshman. Recorded two goals with one assist for five points. Had 11 shots with five on goal and recorded one game winner. Logged 977 minutes for the season. Scored her first collegiate goal in the 2-0 win over Fort Lewis (9/3). Had her second goal and game winner in the upset win over #11 Texas A&M-Commerce (9/24) in the 81st minute for the 2-1 win..Had a season-high three shots against New Mexico Highlands (9/7) and put two on frame. Logged a season-high 81 minutes at UC-Colorado Springs (9/11).
Sandia Prep: Earned a varsity letter all four years. Named Team Captain. Earned first team all-metro honors as a senior ... Named all-district all four years. Earned first team all-state honors three years. Honorable mention all-state honors as a freshman. Named State Player of the Year twice and District Player of the Year twice. Scored 59 goals and 55 assists for her career. Was Teen Ambassador for Make a Wish. Teen Ambassador for Ronald McDonald House for four years and Camping Associate for Sandia Prep for three years . Also competed in basketball, golf and tennis.
Personal: Born Mar. 2, 1999 . Parents are Adrian and Arellana Cordero . Has two siblings. Plans on majoring in business at WT.
