Also cleared 6-8 (2.03m) at the WT Classic & Multi where he finished second. Picked up a pair of victories at the WT Last Chance and West Texas A&M Invitational with a clearance of 6-6.75 (2.00m).
2019 Indoor:Competed in three meets highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the high jump at the Lone Star Conference Championships. The senior cleared 6-5.5 (1.97m) the LSC Championships to five points for the Buffs. Also cleared 6-5.5 (1.97m) at the Don Kirby Elite after opening the season with a 17
thplace finish at the Texas Tech Open (6-3.5 / 1.92m).
2018 Outdoor: Qualified for the NCAA Championships with a clearance of 2.12-meters (6-11.5) at the West Texas A&M Last Chance. He went on to finish 12
th at the national meet with a clearance of 2.05m (6-8.75). Finished third in the high jump and eighth in the javelin throw at the Lone Star Conference Championships. Finished sixth in his heat at the Texas Relays with a clearance of 2.05m (6-8.75). Finished first at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational with a clearance of 2.06m (6-9).
2018 Indoor: Qualified for the NCAA Championships for the second time in his career where he finished 12
th with a clearance of 2.03-meters (6-8). Finished second in the high jump at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a seasonal best clearance of 2.12m (6-11.5). Won the high jump at the Texas Tech Open with a clearance of 2.07m (6-9.5). Also won The Quad with a clearance of 2.10m (6-10.75).
2017 Outdoor: Finished 12
th in the high jump at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a clearance of 2.06 meters (6-9). Earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region as the top high jumper in the South Central region. Earned 2
nd Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after finishing second in the high jump with a clearance of 2.08 meters (6-9.75). He also finished ninth in the javelin with a throw of 50.12 meters (164-5). Broke the Jim Cleworth’s school record in the high jump with a clearance of 2.16 meters (7-1) at the WT Classic & Multi en route to winning the event. Cleared 2.10 meters (6-10.75) in the high jump at the West Texas A&M Invitational. He had a seasonal best throw of 50.76 meters (166-6) in javelin at the same meet.
2017 Indoor: Earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors in the high jump. Finished fourth in the high jump at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a clearance of 2.00 meters (6-6.75). He broke the school record at the Grizzly/Buffalo Clash with his clearance of 2.09 meters (6-10.25) to win the event. He also competed in the long jump at the event with a mark of 6.21 meters (202-4.5).
2016 Outdoor: He finished seventh in the high jump at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a clearance of 6-3.5 (1.92m). He also finished seventh with a throw of 167-3 (50.97m) in the javelin. Had a team-best mark of 6-7 (2.01m) in the high jump at both the Texas Tech Open and Ross Black Open.
2016 Indoor: Placed sixth at in the high jump the LSC Indoor Championships with a mark of 2.02 meters. He picked up a provisionally qualifying mark in the high jump at the Don Kirby Open with his clearance of 2.03 meters. That height is the second best in school history and ranked him No. 35 in the nation. Finished second at the Grizzly-Buffalo Clash in the high jump with a mark of 1.97 meters.
