Was also part of the 4x400m relay that finished second at the Lone Star Conference Championships in 3:13.09. Also finished 10
thin the 200-meters and 12th in the 60-meter dash at the conference meet. Ran a personal best time of 6.96 in the 60m dash at The Power 5, 6.96, to finish fifth in the final. Finished sixth in the 300-meter dash at the Crimson & Gold Invitational in a time of 35.45.
2016 Olympics: Represented Papua New Guinea at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he finished 75
th in the 200-meter dash running 22.14 in the prelims.

He also ran a leg on the 4x100-meter relay that finished ninth. He finished seventh in the 400-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships and second in the 4x400m relay and fourth in the 4x100m relay. Ran a seasonal best time of 47.90 in the 400m at the ACU Oliver Jackson Twilight. Had arguably his best performance of the season at the West Texas A&M Classic & Multi running 10.94 in the 100m and 21.39 in the 200m.
2016 Indoor: Earned All-American honors at the NCAA Championships as a member of the 4x400-meter relay that finished fifth running 3:11.25 in the final. He finished seventh in the 400-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships as well as running a leg on the winning 4x400m relay. Finished fourth in the 200-meters at the Grizzly Buffalo Clash running 22.69 in Alamosa, Colo. Ran a seasonal best time of 7.05 in the 60-meter dash at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver.
Southwestern Community College: Spent two seasons under head coach Bill Huntington where he was a national qualifier in the 400-meters, 200-meters, 60-meters, 4x400-meter relay and 4x100-meter relay.
Personal: Son of Graham and Alice Piniau. Has four siblings. Plans on majoring in business management at WT.
