Biography

2015 (Junior):
Gehle registered another solid year for the Lady Buffs as a junior in 2014, hitting .299 with four doubles, three triples and four homeruns to drive in 28 RBI while also walking 21 times. She registered a .969 fielding clip at second base with 111 putouts and 78 assists with just six errors as she saw time in 55 contests with 53 starts on the season.
 
2014 (Sophomore):
Gehle stepped into a starting role for the Lady Buffs as a sophomore in 2014 and never looked back as the Frisco native hit .282 with eight doubles, four triples and six homeruns to drive in 37 RBI for a slugging percentage of .482 to go along with 19 walks from the nine-hole for an on-base percentage of .356. Gehle registered the biggest swing in Lady Buff Softball history on Memorial Day as the sophomore connected on a three run homerun in the top of the seventh inning with two outs against Valdosta State in the National Championship game to lead WT to the program’s first title and an overall record of 60-7.
 
2013 (Freshman):
Gehle became a go-to role player for the Lady Buffs in 2013 as a true freshman, seeing time in 48 games with 39 starts. She hit .357 with 16 doubles, three triples and five homeruns to drive in 33 RBI while also walking 18 times and stealing four bases with an on-base percentage of .430. Gehle’s first career at-bat as a Lady Buff saw the freshman blast a two-run homerun to left center field against Fort Lewis during the 2013 Desert Stinger Invite in Las Vegas, Nevada.
 
High School:
Gehle had a standout prep career at Wakeland HS (Texas) where she played shortstop for the Wolverines under head coach Chris Southard. She was named the District 9-4A Defensive Player of the Year while leading WHS to the Regional Semifinals as a senior. Gehle also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.
 
Personal:
Born July 26th. Gehle is the daughter of Albert and Margie Gehle and she has one brother, Austin. She is majoring in Marketng at West Texas A&M with a minor in Management.
