2016 (Senior)
Indoor: Strickland finished her indoor career with All-American honors in both the high jump and pentathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships bringing her career total to double-digits. Her third place finish in the high jump meant that she became the first Lady Buff to earn All-American honors in a single event four straight years and was her best finish in the event in her career. She finished sixth in the pentathlon with 3,810 points which is the second most in school history. She won the pentathlon at the LSC Indoor Championships while finishing third in the high jump and fourth in the long jump. She set a personal best time 9.07 in the 60 meter hurdles during the pentathlon competition. She will finish her indoor career with all ten of the best high jump marks, seven of the best long jump marks and nine of the ten top scores in the pentathlon in school history. She was named to the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team and USTFCCCA All-Region in the high jump.
Outdoor: Earned her 11
th career All-American honor as part of the 4x100-meter relay that finished third at the NCAA Championships. She earned USTFCCCA First Team All-Americans as part of that quartet but also earned Second Team All-American honors by finishing 11
th in the 100-meters. She also finished 13
th in the 200-meters and 16
th in the long jump at the national meet. She finished the season with a nation-leading six USTFCCCA All-Region honors. She was the recipient of the Wes Kittley Award for the Most Outstanding Female Athlete at the Lone Star Conference Championships for the second time in her career as she finished in the top four in six different events (four individual, two relays). She finished second in the long jump with the second best mark in school history of 19-11.75 (6.09m) while running the second-fastest 200 in school history in a time of 23.63. That time is second only to 1982 NCAA National Champion Merry Johnson. She also finished second in the 4x100, third in the 100, third in the 4x400 and fourth in the high jump at the LSC meet. She was named to the LSC All-Academic team for the third consecutive year while also earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.
2015 (Junior)

2014: Added three All-American awards to her now five total after her 2014 sophomore season. Strickland led WT its first ever LSC title at the LSC Indoor Championship where she scored a team-high and second-best overall 31 points with an individual title in high jump. Earned an automatic qualifier in high jump and two other provisionals during the indoor season. She placed seventh in both the high jump and pentathlon competitions at the NCAA Indoor National Championship. Strickland set six provisional qualifying marks during the outdoor season. She was the recipient of the Wes Kittley Award (Outstanding Track Athelte) and David Noble Award (Outstanding Field Athlete) for her performance at the LSC Outdoor Championship where she scored 41 total points, the most of any athlete, male or female, off of four LSC titles (4x1, 4x4, HJ, LJ) and second place finishes in the 100m and 200m events. Strickland became a five-time All-American with a seventh place finish in the high jump at the NCAA Outdoor National Championship. There she also qualified for and competed in the 100m, 200m, 4x1 and long jump events. At the conclusion of the outdoor season, Strickland was named the LSC Female Field Athlete of the Year. She was named USTFCCCA All-Region during both indoor (HJ & PENT) and outdoor (100m, 200m, HJ, LJ, 4x1 & 4x4) competition, LSC All-Conference (indoor & outdoor), LSC Academic All-Conference (indoor & outdoor), Capital One Academic First-Team All District and Capital One Academic Thrid-Team All-America. Strickland was also honored as a member of the LSC Fall & Spring Commissioner's Honor Rolls and was named LSC Athlete of the Week three times. In 2014, she set new PRs in 11 different events and rewrote eight school records (indoor HJ, LJ & PENT; outdoor 100m, 200m, 4x4, HJ & LJ) and one LSC record (indoor HJ). In January of 2015, Strickland was honored as the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame Co-Track Athlete of the Year for 2014.
2013: Strickland proved herself as an all-around athlete for the Lady Buffs in her freshman year as she competed in the 4x4 relay, 4x1 relay, 200m, 800m, 55m hurdles, 60m hurdles, 100m hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put, and javelin events, with many contributing to the heptathlon and indoor pentathlon. Had nine top-five finishes during the indoor season as she had six first-place finishes, five in the high jump and one in the long jump. Won the LSC indoor title in the high jump and placed second in the pentathlon (first-place high jump and long jump). Qualified for the NCAA National Championships in the high jump where she placed seventh and the pentathlon where she finished 16th in the country. Her personal bests included 1.72m/5'-7.75" (high jump) and 3489 pts. (pentathlon). Totaled an outstanding 19 top-five finishes during the outdoor season. Led the Lady Buffs to a second-place finish in the LSC Outdoor Championships and second-place finishes in the 4x1 and 4x4 relays and a fifth-place finish in the high jump. Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships where she led the 4x1 and 4x4 relay teams to top-10 finishes. Her personal bests in outdoor included 24.54 (200m), 16.23 (100m hurdles), 9.27m (shot put), 28.66m (javelin) and 4663 pts. (heptathlon).
High School: Graduated from Randall HS in 2012. Competed in high jump, long jump, relays and 200m events. Was the state runner-up in the high jump and a state qualifier in the 4x400m relay her senior year. Qualified for states in the high jump in multiple years. Earned academic all-state honors. Also a three-year letterwinner in volleyball where she earned all-state and district MVP honors.
Personal: Born September 24, 1993. Daughter of David and Darla Strickland. Has three siblings, Aaron, Madison and Mitchell. Majoring in biology at West Texas A&M.
