Biography

2018 (Junior):
Yearego was a force out of the bullpen for the Buffs during his junior campaign in 2018 as he led WT to the Lone Star Conference Championship and the first South Central Region hosting duties in program history. The talented right hander finished the season with a team-leading 2.83 ERA (3-0) with 33 strikeouts in 28.1 innings of relief during 15 appearances to allow an opposing batting average of just .227. Yearego was named an Honorable Mention All-Lone Star Conference selection for his efforts on the diamond.

2017 (Sophomore):
Named 2017 Lone Star Conference All-Tournament Most Valuable Player. The First Team All-LSC selection finished the season with a 2.03 ERA and a perfect 6-0 record in a team-high 24 relief appearances. Combined on two shutouts and had six saves ranking third in the LSC and second on the team. Pitched 57.2 innings, ranking third on the team, while allowing 44 hits, 14 runs (13 earned) to go along with 10 walks and 58 strikeouts. Ranked third in the league and 34th nationally in hits allowed per nine innings (6.87) and his 2.03 ERA ranked second in the LSC and 26th nationally. Recorded three-straight saves in the LSC Tournament, including the championship game(s) for the Buffs' second-straight LSC Tournament Title.

2016 (Freshman): 
Saw action in seven games out of the bullpen for the Buffs as a redshirt freshman in 2016, tallying a 1-0 record with a 5.56 ERA. Pitched 11.1 innings in relief as he allowed 16 hits nine runs (seven earned) while walking three and striking out nine.

2015 (Redshirt):
Yearego redshirted for the Buffs in 2015.

At Prosper High School:
Registered a stellar prep career at Prosper High School where he pitched and played DH for the Eagles. Went 12-1 as a pitcher earning First Team All-District honors and Honorable Mention All-State accolades for head coach Rick Carpenter as the team finished 30-15 during his senior season with a run to the Regional Finals.

Personal:
Born March 10, 1996. Parents are Dino Yearego and Kathleen Alexander and he has five siblings. Majoring in Business at West Texas A&M.
