Freshman (2014-15)


    Cross Country: Laisure ran a season-best 5K time in her first meet, going 20:31.6 at the Joe I. Vigil Open. She earned a sixth place finish with a season-best 6K time at the Wagon Wheel Dual, going 23:16.6. Laisure went on to place ninth at the LSC Championship, earning LSC All-Conference runners then earned herself USTFCCCA All-Region accolades at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship, placing 25th overall. Laisure was named to the 2014 LSC Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll after the season.

    Track & Field:
    Finished eighth in the 10,000m at the LSC Outdoor Championship
    Also competed in the 1500m, 3000m, and 5000m events

High School: Laisure graduated from Farmersville High School in 2014. She ran for four years under head coach Jennifer Crawford in cross country and track & field. Her senior season, Laisure was cross country team captain and earned Second-Team All-State honors. Her additional awards include Third-Team All-State honors her junior year, team MVP for cross country and track & field, and All-State Academic honors in cross country. Laisure broke the school record in the 800m with a time of 2:25. She also competed in volleyball and basketball, was a member of National Honor Society, and a member of the Student Council all four years while serving time as both President and Secretary.

Personal: Daughter of David and Cindy Laisure...Born Sept. 17, 1995...Has two sisters, Samantha and Hannah...Majoring in Nursing with a minor in Education at West Texas A&M.
