Sophomore 2013-14

    Cross Country: Guarner picked up where she left off last season as she began her sophomore stint with a seventh-place finish at the Texas Tech Red Raider Open (5K). She followed up with a third-place finish at the WTAMU Buffalo Stampede (6K) and a sixth-place showing in the college division at the 25th annual Chili Pepper Cross Country Festival (5K). Guarner led her team to a first-place finish at the Wagonwheel Dual (6K) as she crossed the line first overall with a time of 22:47.08. She led the Lady Buffs to their second-straight LSC title as she finished third in the LSC Championship (6K) with a time of 22:29.00, picking up LSC All-Conference honors in the process. Guarner went on earn All-Region as she finished 15th in the NCAA South Central Regional Championship (6K), leading her team to a third-place finish and another berth at nationals. She then placed 57th at the National Championships (6K) with a time of 22:07.8, helping lead her team a 14th place finish.

    Track & Field: Scored in the DMR (second), mile (second) and 800m (sixth) at the LSC Indoor Championship to lead the Lady Buffs to their first LSC title in program history. Guarner then placed sixth in the 1500m and seventh in the 800m at the LSC Outdoor Championship. She qualified in the 1500m at the NCAA Outdoor National Championship and placed 16th in the country. Was named LSC Track Athlete of the Week once during the indoor season and was named USTFCCCA All-Region (1500m) during the outdoor season. She was also named to the LSC Fall & Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll. Guarner set new indoor school records in the mile (5:00.18) and DMR (12:07.00@) and new outdoor school records in the 1000m (3:03.49) and 1500m (4:31.29). Upon completion of the academic year, Guarner was named Capital One Academic First-Team All-District for the XC/T&F season combined.

Freshman 2012-13

    Cross Country: Mireia had an outstanding freshman season with the Lady Buffs. She set a new school record in the 5K, running a 17:48.28 at the SPC Inv. Meet. She also set a new PR in the 6K by running a 21:12.9 at the NCAA National meet. Guarner placed 2^nd individually at the Lone Star Conference meet, helping her team win the Championship. She was named Freshman of the Year for the LSC as well as being named to the All-Conference team. She placed 24^th at the NCAA South Central Regional meet earning a spot on the All-Region team. She then placed 34^th at the NCAA National meet, earning All-American status with her efforts.
    
    Track: Mireia was redshirted for the Indoor season due to an injury. But she was back in full swing for Outdoor. Guarner helped the team succeed at the Outdoor LSC Championships where they placed 2^nd. Mireia was a National qualifier in the 1500M time running a PR time of 4:33.41.

High School: Guarner completed high school at Collegi Diocesa` Sagrada Famila in Tortosa. She has studied at Univesital de Barcelona.
 
Personal: Mireia is the daughter of Xavier Guarner and MaAngels Piquet. Mireia is from Tortosa, Catalonia – Spain. Mireia is pursuing a degree in Sports and Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
