2016 (Sophomore)
Indoor: Placed sixth in the shot put at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships with a mark of 15.24 meters. He threw a personal best mark of 15.93 meters to fourth at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver Invite. That mark was the sixth best in the conference and 39
th in the nation. He threw over 15 meters in every meet he competed in. Was named LSC Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 27.
Outdoor: Became the first WT athlete in program history to win a national title with his throw of 189-4 (57.71m) in the discus. After entering the championships ranked 13
th in the nation he unleashed the sixth-best throw in school history on his fourth attempt to bring home the title. He also earned USTFCCCA First Team All-American honors for his performance in the discus after being named USTFCCCA All-Region before the championships. He finished runner-up in the discus at the Lone Star Conference Championships throwing 164-8 (50.19m). He also finished eighth in the shot put and 10
th in the hammer throw.
