Senior (2014-15)

    Cross Country: Rueda began the season with 30th place finishes in both the Texas Tech Open and OSU Cowboy Jamboree, followed by a 48th place showing at Chile Pepper. He earned LSC All-Conference honors at the LSC Championship (8K) with an eighth place finish, crossing the line at 25:59.9, leading the Buffs to a second-straigh team championship. After the meet, Rueda was named LSC Newcomer of the Year for his performance. He went on to earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors at the NCAA South Central Regional meet (10K) with a 22nd place finish. Rueda placed 112th in the nation two weeks later at the NCAA National Championship, helping the Buffs to an 11th place team finish, the highest in program history. After the season, he was selected to the 2014 Fall LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

    Track & Field:
    Finished eighth in the 3000m at the LSC Indoor Championship
    Finished second in the 800m and fourth in the 1500m at the LSC Outdoor Championship
    Set PRs in the 800m (1:53.69), mile (4:14.16), and 3000m (8:39.26)

Junior (2013-14)

    Cross Country: Redshirted during the 2013 cross country season.

    Track & Field: Rueda scored in both the 3000m (third) and mile (fifth) at the LSC Indoor Championship, leading the Buffs to their first LSC title in program history. He was named to the LSC All-Academic team for the indoor season and to the LSC Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll. Rueda went on to place sixth in the 1500m at the LSC Outdoor Championship. HIs PRs in 2014 included 1:25.29 (600m), 1:57.42 (800m), 3:55.79 (1500m), 4:26.16 (mile), 8:48.11 (3000m) and 15:36.92 (5000m).

New Mexico State: Spent freshman and sophomore years at New Mexico State University.

High School: Graduated from Mayfield HS in 2010. Competed in the 800, 1600 and 3200 for the Trojans.

Personal: Born May 21, 1992. Son of Maria Rueda. Has one brother Ramon (21). Majoring in applied sports at West Texas A&M.
