2013 Season Stats
2013: Had an outstanding first season as a Buffalo as he was second on the team in receptions (87) and receiving yard with 1,294 (13th nationally). Earned first team all-LSC honors. Led the team with 14 touchdowns (9th nationally) and averaged 92.4 yards per game (32nd nationally) and a team-high 14.9 yards per reception. Ranked third on the team in scoring with 84 points and third in all-purpose yards with 1,294. Had a WT career-high 11 receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns at Grand Valley State and recorded 10 receptions for 168 yards and two scores at Ohio Dominican the week before. Tallied a career-high 181 yards receiving against Texas A&M-Commerce. Had a reception in all 14 games. Recorded one solo tackle against Chadron State.Â
2012: Did not play at Northern Illinois.
2011 (Northern Illinois): Played in 12 games as a reserve wide receiver and made 13 catches for 174 yards. Set career-highs for receptions (four), receiving yards (51) and longest gain (25) at Bowling Green (11-8). Hauled in two passes for 26 yards at Toledo (11-1) with both catches coming on NIU's final two scoring drives, including a nine-yard reception on the game-winning drive. Posted two receptions for 18 yards on NIU's final scoring drive against Cal Poly (9-24). Grabbed two passes for 32 yards against Army (9-3). Had one reception each against Kansas (9-10), Central Michigan (10-1) and Ball State (11-15), all three of which went for first downs.
2010: Saw his first career game action at Akron (10-2) and went on to play in a total of four games on the season. In addition to Akron, played in the Huskies' home games versus Buffalo (10-16), Central Michigan (10-23) and Toledo (11-9). Did not have a catch while earning his first snaps at wide receiver.
2009: Redshirted
Warren High School: Named to San Antonio's 2008 Super Team, recording 718 receiving yards on 46 catches for a 15.6 yard average. Rushed for 386 yards on 24 carries to average 16.1 yards per carry. Caught 10 touchdowns passes and ran for seven scores. Totaled 149 passing yards and 18 combined touchdowns as a senior. Named a City All-Star his senior year. Earned all-conference honors three times. Was a second team all-region choice as a senior. Team captain helped lead the Warriors to a 9-3 record, a district championship and three bi-district championships as a senior. Recorded 1,455 receiving yards on 85 catches and scored 17 receiving touchdowns for his career. Named Texas' Best Duo along with high school teammate and fellow NIU signee Martel Moore. Three-sport standout for the Warriors, becoming the first athlete to become a three-sport letterman during his sophomore season, with letters in football, basketball and track and field. Won the state 5A title in the high jump with a 6-10 leap and jumped as high as 7-0 as a senior. Named mySanAntionio.com Male Track Athlete of the Year.
