2022 Outdoor: Finished 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles, 3rd in the pole vault, and 8th in the long jump at the WT Spring Break Classic. Finished 7th in the high jump at the Ross Black Track and Field Open. Finished 4th in the Decathlon at the Jo Meaker Classic. Finished 8th with a new personal best in the Decathlon of 5,678 points.
2022 Indoor: Finished 7th in the heptathlon at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic. Finished 5th in the pole vault with a personal best of 14’6.25” (4.43m) at the Dr. MLK Jr. Collegiate Invitational. Also ran a personal best of 2:22.55 in the 800-meter at the Dr. MLK Jr. Collegiate Invitational. Had two personal bests at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, with a time of 3:06.43 in the 1,000-meter, and a jump of 5’11.25” (1.81m) in the high jump. Had two more personal bests at the LSC Championships with a time of 8.44 in the 60-meter hurdles, and a toss of 28’11.25” (8.82m) in the shot put.
Portales High School: Graduated in 2021. State Champion in 110-meter hurdles and pole vault. District champion in 110m hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, pole vault and high jump. School record holder in 110m hurdles.
Personal: Born on March 3, 2003. Son of Patty and Steven Cain. Has two siblings. Majoring in biology.
