CANYON, TEXAS – The #6 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M overcame a two run deficit in the top of the seventh inning on Friday night as they scored five runs in the frame to claim a 9-6 victory over the #16 Angelo State Rambelles at Schaeffer Park in Canyon, Texas.

The Belles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning on an Ashleigh Dendas three-run long ball to left center with two outs for the 3-0 lead. The Lady Buffs responded in the top of the second inning on a
Mya Chacon RBI fielder's choice groundout to score Janning at 3-1.

Angelo State added to their lead in the home half of the second on a Larryn Feuge RBI double to right field that score Taylor Haywood for the 4-1 advantage. WT tied the game in the top of the third inning as
Jordyn De Los Santos scored on an attempted double steal followed by an ASU error that scored

Brooke Janning lifted a solo shot to center field at 4-4.

The Rambelles used the long ball to retake the lead in the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning as Kylie Forney lifted a two-run shot deep to right center at 6-4.

The Lady Buffs wouldn't go down without a fight in the seventh inning as Kuntz lifted a two-run long ball to left center to tie the game. Chacon kept the game alive with two outs as an infield single along with an errant ASU throw scored a pair followed by a
Bella Holland RBI double to the gap in right center at 9-6.

Reagan Sucher claimed the win (6-0) for the Lady Buffs, allowing three earned runs on three hits with two walks and a strikeout in her 4.0 innings of relief.

The Lady Buffs punch their ticket to the championship game set for 2:30 p.m. tomorrow afternoon in Canyon. They will await the winner of game five starting at Noon between Angelo State and the winner of Texas A&M-Kingsville/CSU Pueblo taking place tonight.
