Karley Motschenbacher knocked down a pair of free throws with less than a second remaining on Thursday night as the #6 Lady Buffs extended their win streak to 18 games with a wild 84-83 Lone Star Conference win over the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds in Portales.

WT started strong in the first quarter with
Kyla Kane hitting an early 3-pointer and adding two free throws to take an 8–2 lead at the 8:23 mark. The team maintained momentum with
Claire Graham sinking another 3-pointer, extending the lead to 10–6. However, Eastern New Mexico responded by closing the gap and eventually taking the lead with a series of layups and a 3-pointer, making it 14–10 with 5:00 remaining.

The quarter saw a back-and-forth battle, with
Henley West connecting on a 3-pointer to tie the game at 21–21 with 2:24 left. Despite this effort, ENMU regained control, ending the quarter on a scoring run, and led 28–21 at the close.

The Lady Buffs began the second quarter by capitalizing on Eastern New Mexico's turnovers, with
Karley Motschenbacher's steal at 8:05 leading to a crucial basket. Despite Eastern New Mexico's brief scoring surge, the Lady Buffs responded with efficiency from the free-throw line, as
Taytum Bell converted four consecutive free throws, cutting the deficit to 34–27.

Midway through the quarter, Motschenbacher hit a pivotal 3-pointer at 5:25, narrowing the gap.
Randi Harding further contributed with a three-pointer, bringing the Lady Buffs within five points. In the closing seconds,
Henley West's jumper reduced Eastern New Mexico's lead to a single point, ending the quarter 40–39 in favor of the home team.

WT opened the third quarter with a crucial jumper from Kane at 9:13, narrowing the gap early. Graham then sparked a key stretch, hitting back-to-back 3-pointers at 8:07 and 7:17 to reclaim the lead. Defensive pressure resulted in a steal by Graham at 6:54, further tightening the contest.

The Lady Buffs began the fourth quarter with a determined effort, tying the score at 63 after a jumper from Motschenbacher. Despite a brief setback with ENMU pulling ahead, Harding responded with a crucial three-pointer, maintaining a close contest.

Midway through the quarter, Kane capitalized on free throw opportunities following a pair of technical fouls, converting all four attempts to give WT a 76–74 lead. The teams exchanged leads in a tightly contested final stretch, with Graham's layup ensuring the Lady Buffs stayed competitive.
