WT Sits 17th in the Learfield Director’s Cup Standings

ANYON, Texas – Another strong semester on the field and in the classroom has placed West Texas A&M 17th in the Division II Learfield Directors' Cup heading into the holidays announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Tuesday afternoon.
 
WT sits 17th in the overall standings with 180.50 points. UC Colorado Springs sits atop of the standings with 289.50 points followed by Wingate (283.00), Colorado School of Mines (275.00), Anderson (237.50) and Grand Valley State (205.00) to round out the top five. 
 
The Buffs and Lady Buffs are the highest ranked Lone Star Conference member by 24 spots and 55.50 points over Midwestern State (125.00). The LSC is represented by WT (17th), Midwestern State (41st), Dallas Baptist (83rd), UT Permian Basin (86th), Angelo State (91st), Texas Woman's (106th) and Lubbock Christian (124th). 
 
Lady Buff Cross Country picked up 69 points as they finished ninth at the NCAA Division II National Championships while the Buffs claimed 61.5 points for their 14th-place finish in Wisconsin. Lady Buff Volleyball's run to the South Central Regional Semifinals added 50 points for the Maroon & White. 
 
Additional standings will be announced after the winter season with the final results being announced in June following the conclusion of the spring championship season.
