Desire Essis scored a pair of goals on Wednesday night to power the Buffaloes past the Eagles of Oklahoma Christian, 4-2 in Lone Star Conference play at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas.

WT took an early lead against the Eagles in the first half with a goal from
Desire Essis in the 11th minute, making the score 1-0. Despite OC's Ethan Nakolo attempting two shots, neither found the target. The Buffs extended their lead to 2-0 in the 39th minute with a goal by
Ben Scotford. The half concluded with the Buffs holding their advantage, having capitalized on key opportunities to secure a two-goal lead.

The Buffs secured a 4-2 victory over Okla. Christian in a tense second half. Oklahoma Christian's Ethan Nakolo scored twice, first at 64' and again at 72', both assisted by Igor Caballero, leveling the score at 2-2. The Buffs responded with
Delahmu Reeves netting a goal at 76' to reclaim the lead.
Desire Essis then extended the advantage with a goal at 82'.

Ben Scotford scored one goal on his lone shot, which was also on target.
Delahmu Reeves tallied a goal with his shot count including two on goal, earning the game-winning goal.
Desire Essis contributed significantly with two goals from three shots, all of which were on target.
Bryce Cottle played a full 90 minutes in goal without recording a save, facing 13 shots and allowing two goals.

Ethan Nakolo stood out for Oklahoma Christian, scoring two goals and leading the team with six shots, two of which were on target. Igor Caballero contributed significantly with two assists. In the midfield, Luis Alvis was active, recording four shots. In goal, Nick Hardiman made two saves in the first half, while Luke Alexander added three saves in the second half.
