CANYON, Texas – The Buffaloes of West Texas A&M scored 49 points in the first half on their way to a big 56-7 victory over the Sul Ross State Lobos on Saturday night in Lone Star Conference action at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium in front of a Homecoming crowd of 7,234 fans.

WT opened the first quarter assertively, quickly establishing their momentum with an efficient drive.
RJ Martinez connected with
Drew Zamar for a 19-yard gain, setting the stage for a precise passing game. The drive culminated in a 24-yard touchdown pass to
Trevin Edwards, followed by
Drew Cox's successful extra point, putting the Buffs ahead 7-0.

Continuing their offensive rhythm, the Buffs'
Gene Sledge pushed through for a 1-yard touchdown run after a series of strategic plays, extending the lead to 14-0 with another extra point from Cox. Defensively, the Buffs held the Lobos scoreless, including a key turnover on downs at their own 10-yard line. The quarter closed with the Buffs leading 14-0, maintaining strong control over the game.

On defense, Packebush led with five total tackles and recorded a sack.
