CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M ended their season on Friday afternoon as a late surge by the second-seeded UT Tyler Patriots clinched a victory in the Lone Star Conference Quarterfinals, 58-54 at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.

Karley Motschenbacher led the way for the Lady Buffs in her final collegiate game in Maroon & White as the Moorhead, Minnesota product went 4-of-13 from the floor including 8-of-14 from the free throw line for a team-high 16 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Hollie Stalder finished with 10 points followed by
Jayla Burgess and
Kyla Kane with six each while
Rosemary Odebunmi grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 19-of-65 (29.2%) from the floor including 4-of-29 (13.8%) from deep and 12-of-20 (60%) from the charity stripe with 50 rebounds (19 offensive, 31 defensive), 11 assists, 14 turnovers, four blocks and two steals.

UT Tyler had a balanced attack all afternoon long as the Patriots had 11 players contribute points led by Frances King who went 3-of-6 from the floor including a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line for a team-high 10 points to go along with five boards, one assist and a steal. UTT finished the game going 20-of-63 (31.7%) from the field including 4-of-22 (18.2%) from deep and 14-of-18 (77.8%) from the line with 41 rebounds, nine assists, nine turnovers, one block and six steals.
