Game one proved to be a low-scoring affair on Saturday afternoon. After being held hitless in the first two innings,
Braeland Booth started the third with a single. The base hit went stranded as the Javelinas escaped the inning. Texas A&M-Kingsville scored the game's first runs in the bottom half of the inning after loading the bases. Back-to-back two out walks from WT brought in a pair of runs.
The Lady Buffs got a run back in the top of the fourth as
Emilee Boyer lifted a solo shot over the fence. The lone run for WT held up for the Javelinas to hold on for a one-run win. The Lady Buffs registered just one run on four hits with three runners left on base.
