CANYON. Texas – The #8 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M kept their momentum rolling on Saturday afternoon as they make quick work of the St. Mary's Rattlers (25-12, 25-14, 25-23) in Lone Star Conference action at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.
West Texas A&M finished the afternoon with 45 kills on 99 swings with 18 attack errors to hit .273 as a team with 41 assists, seven aces, 51 digs and seven blocks. The Rattlers had just 22 kills on 96 attempts with 16 errors to hit .062 as a team with 21 assists, three aces, 34 digs and seven blocks in the loss.
Currie Marusak led the way for the Lady Buffs as the Amarillo product had 10 kills on 21 swings with three errors for an attack percentage of .333 to go along with one dig and a block,
Emma Becker and
Camy Jones contributed eight kills each followed by
Taytum Stow with seven while registering five blocks.
Ainsley Malis dished out a team-high 14 assists to go along with 10 digs for a double-double while
Bryli Contreras led the way in the back row with 12 digs.
Alicia Virthe registered eight kills 21 attempts with five attack errors for an attack percentage of .143 to lead the way for the Rattlers followed by Landri Withers with six kills and five digs. Cali Nims paced the StMU offense as she registered a match-high 21 assists to go along with eight digs and three blocks.
