CANYON, Texas – Thursday night's Lone Star Conference crossover showdown between West Texas A&M and #13 Texas Woman's was a back-and-forth battle but late offensive rebounds were the difference in a 69-58 Pioneer victory at the First United Bank Center to give TWU their first victory in Canyon since 1981.

Nyalam Thabach paced the West Texas A&M offense as the Boise, Idaho product went 7-of-18 from the floor including 1-of-2 from deep and 2-of-3 from the free throw line for a team-high 17 points to go along with nine rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
Karley Motschenbacher (13) and
Azia Himeur (11) also finished in double-figures for the Lady Buffs.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 24-of-65 (36.9%) from the field including 5-of-19 (26.3%) from behind the arc and 5-of-7 (71.4%) from the charity stripe to go along with 32 rebounds (seven offensive, 25 defensive), 12 assists, 15 turnovers, five blocks and eight steals.

Ashley Ingram led the way for the Pioneers as the junior forward went 5-of-10 from the floor including 9-of-10 from the line for a game-high 19 points to go along with 12 rebounds and four assists for the double-double. TWU finished the night going 25-of-60 (41.7%) from the floor including 5-of-16 (31.3%) from deep and 14-of-17 (82.4%) from the charity stripe with 45 rebounds, 15 assists, 20 turnovers, two blocks and seven steals.
