FRISCO, Texas – Four players reached double figures to lead West Texas A&M to a semifinal victory on Saturday afternoon as the No. 18 Buffs defeated Midwestern State, 87-55, to punch their ticket to the program's fifth consecutive Lone Star Conference Championship game.  The Buffs improve to 27-6 on the season while MSU's comes to an end with an overall record of 16-15.Â

After nine lead changes over the opening seven minutes of play, WT grabbed control of the game as
Larry Wise added two the board to lead off 14-2 run.  The Mustang's Terrell Wilson's layup ended the drought at the 9:40 mark but was quickly answered with
Julius Brown's 11
th-point of the contest to push the Buffs lead out to 13, 30-17.Â

Jonas Carlisle kept the Buffs moment when the freshman drained his lone triple of the game before
Jesse Iweze followed up with a second-chance layup to make it 38-22 with under four minutes left of the half.  WT added four to the score before the intermission to lead 44-26 with the help of late shots by Iweze and Brown.Â

Dalin Williams knocked down a pair of free throws to lead off the second half followed by four consecutive points for Brown pushed the lead out to 22-points, 54-30.  With 7:23 left in regulation,
Cameron Bell recovered a steal from Wilson's turnover before finding
Larry Wise.  The sophomore's fastbreak 3-pointer extended the Buffs lead.Â

Kavon Booker came off the bench to drain a pair of treys followed by
Addison Wallace's own shot from the long range to add the final points of the game to complete the semifinal victory.Â

Brown was the game's leading scorer with 22 points as the Westerville, Ohio product went 9-of-16 from the floor, 1-of-2 a the 3-point line and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe to go along with seven rebounds. Â
Jesse Iweze scored 12 points followed by
Larry Wise and
Zach Toussaint who also reached double figures combining for 20.

WT concluded Saturday's game 31-of-62 (50.0%) from the field including 10-of-21 (47.6%) from the deep and 15-of-20 (75.9%) from the free throw line with 11 assists, six steals and one block.  The Buffs outrebounded the Mustangs 39-29 while forcing 12 turnovers.Â

WT will face the winner of top-seeded Lubbock Christian (26-2, 12-2 LSC) and 12
th-seed Texas A&M-Kingsville (17-9, 6-7 LSC) in the championship game tomorrow, March 6, at 1 p.m. in Frisco at the Comerica Center.Â
