DENVER, Colo. – The West Texas AM Lady Buffs are headed to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championship match after upsetting the No. 22 UT Tyler Patriots, 3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 25-20, 25-23).  
 
WT went in to the tournament as an unranked opponent, earning the seventh seed in the tournament, and has now taken down two nationally-ranked opponents to advance to the programs first regional championship since 2017 and 17^th overall.  
 
The Lady Buffs enter Saturday's match 25-4 while UT Tyler ends their 2021 campaign 20-4.  WT will face the winner of the semifinal match between No. 11 Angelo State and No. 3 MSU Denver in tomorrow's championship match which is set for 8:30 p.m. CT at the Auraria Event Center in Denver, Colo.  
 
WT hit .159 as a team with 52 kills on 176 attempts and 24 errors while totaling 6 digs, 448 assists and 12 blocks.  Torrey Miller led the Lady Buffs offense with 14 kills on 50 swings with six errors to hit .160 to go along with a match-high and career-high four service aces.  Kayla Elliott alos picked up double-digit kills with 10 on 20 attempts with one error followed by Porsha Porath with nine and Camy Jones with eight.  
 
Sadie Snay and Blair Moreland combined for 43 assists to pace the Lady Buffs offense.  Senior captain Chandler Vogel scooped up 23 digs to lead the back row while Marjani Stanfill recorded eight blocks for the second time in her freshman campaign. 
 
UTT was led by Mikayla Ware who posted 20 kills on 49 attempts with just three attack errors to hit .347 to go along with a team-high 27 digs.  The Patriots racked up 60 kills on 182 attempts with 25 errors to hit .192 while earning 55 assists, 13 blocks and 87 digs.
