CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M and Colorado School of Mines today announced the schools have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2020 and 2021.
The Buffs and Orediggers are set to meet at Marv Kay Stadium at Campbell Field in Golden, Colo. on Sept. 26, 2020, with the second game scheduled for Sept. 25, 2021, at Buffalo Stadium in Canyon.
WT will make the trip to Colorado in 2020 for the first time since a 26-10 win over CSU-Pueblo on Sept. 10, 2016, while Colorado School of Mines will be the first team from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference to play at Buffalo Stadium in 2021.
The two schools have never met in football. The Buffs finished the 2019 season 8-3 overall and 5-3 in Lone Star Conference while the Orediggers finished 12-1 winning the RMAC Championship and hosting a NCAA Second Round game for the first time in program history.
