Big Fourth Quarter Run Lifts the #5 Lady Buffs Past Colorado State-Pueblo, 65-49

CANYON, Texas – #5 West Texas A&M led by just five points entering the fourth quarter but a 17-0 run to start the period propelled the Lady Buffs to a 65-49 victory over the visiting ThunderWolves of Colorado State-Pueblo in front of over 500 fans during the Pak-A-Sak WT Thanksgiving Classic at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

- West Texas A&M was led offensively by Lexy Hightower who went 5-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-9 from deep with 19 points followed by Tyesha Taylor with 16 while Madison Parker finished the game with 12 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
- Katie Cunningham went a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor including 5-of-6 from the free throw line to lead the way for the Pack with 15 points followed by Molly Rohrer with 10 points.
 
FIRST HALF:
- The Lady Buffs went 8-of-29 (27.6%) from the field in the first half including 2-of-11 (18.2%) from deep and 6-of-8 (75%) from the free throw line with 20 rebounds (six offensive, 14 defensive), seven assists, five turnovers, one block and two steals.
- CSUP went 8-of-25 (32%) from the floor in the opening half including 2-of-7 (28.6%) from behind the arc and 5-of-6 (83.3%) from the charity stripe with 19 rebounds (three offensive, 16 defensive), five assists, six turnovers, one block and four steals.
 
SECOND HALF:
- WT finished the game going 22-of-53 (41.5%) from the floor including 6-of-19 (31.6%) from deep and 15-of-22 (68.2%) from the free throw line with 39 rebounds (14 offensive, 25 defensive), 18 assists, 14 turnovers, one block and five steals.
- Colorado State-Pueblo went 15-of-47 (31.9%) from the field including 4-of-16 (25%) from behind the arc and 15-of-18 (83.3%) from the free throw line with 29 rebounds (eight offensive, 21 defensive), 11 assists, 12 turnovers, one block and 10 steals.
